Holographic Telepresence in Knowledge Transfer – Potential and Challenges in the Implementation

Abstract

The development of virtual reality and extended reality technologies provide higher education institutions with an opportunity to develop new training practices. Recently there is ongoing research on the significance of new digital and virtual reality technologies in the process of enhancing knowledge transfer, as well as the efficient transfer of Intellectual Property to industry and businesses, and society. In this paper we focus on the potential and challenges of the implementation of Holographic Telepresence Communications for improving the collaboration between higher education institutions and knowledge sharing.
