Nikolay Dandanov graduated with Distinction both the B.Sc. and M.Sc. programmes in Telecommunications at the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2015 and 2017, respectively. He is currently at the beginning of his Ph.D. studies in the field of Telecommunication Networks at the same university. He prepared his Bachelor’s and Master’s Theses in the area of self-organization in mobile networks and in Cloud-RAN, respectively, as an exchange student at the Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany.
Nikolay has more than 5 years of research and industry experience in the field of telecommunications. From 2012 to 2015, he was a Network Operations Center engineer in a data center at Telepoint LTD. In 2014, he did an internship in Technology Strategy Architecture Team at one of Bulgaria’s mobile network operators – Mobiltel EAD. In November 2015, he joined the Teleinfrastructure R&D Laboratory at the Technical University of Sofia as a Telecommunications Expert.
His main fields of scientific interest and expertise are in resource and interference management, beamforming in mobile networks, Cloud-RAN, Internet of Things, as well as in access, core and multimedia networks.
