Dr. Nikolay N. Neshov holds a PhD in Communication and Computer Technology from the Technical University of Sofia. His doctoral research was concentrated in optimization of Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) systems based on probabilistic models. He prepared his Bachelor’s Thesis in the area of image compression as an exchange student at the Hochschule für Telekommunikation Leipzig, Germany. Currently, his research interest covers computer vision, machine learning, decision analysis, video and image indexing and retrieval, text mining, and facial analysis. In the last ten years, Dr. Neshov has participated in the design and software development of innovative national and international scientific projects. He is also an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Telecommunication, where he is teaching courses for Bachelor and Master Degree students.
