6G-based Intelligent, Context-Aware, and Trustworthy User-Centric Healthcare Applications
Abstract
This paper explores the role of 6G for realizing intelligent and context-aware user-centric healthcare applications with a focus on stress-induced depressive disorders. It addresses the benefits of immersive and haptic technologies and the challenges to their seamless integration in healthcare scenarios, with a focus on enabling 6G attributes and the related key performance requirements (KPIs). Virtualization and inducing intelligence in the Radio Access Network (RAN) under the Open RAN paradigm is explored as a service-specific network-oriented approach to support real-time personalized services, and very low latencies. Resource allocation mechanisms between the radio units (RU) and distributed units (DU) are studied and proposed to support quality of experience (QoE).
