Coverage Analysis of Heterogeneous Wireless Network with n-Interacted Transmission Nodes

Abstract

In this paper, the coverage performance in Heterogeneous Networks HetNet with n-interacted transmission nodes is being analyzed statistically. With HetNets a significant improvement in throughput is expected, but one major drawback in the successful commercial implementation of HetNets is their low coverage probability. The strategies proposed currently for coverage improvement are broadly classified as network cooperation NC and interference cancelation IC. For implementation of all the classes of strategies, it is essential to have real time interaction between the transmission nodes through the backhaul of the network. In general the complexity in the process of the practical implementation of a strategy increases with square of the number of interacting nodes n. The choice of ‘n’ is critical for network designing as it influences many performance parameters and involves the trade-off between coverage and network complexity. This analysis aims to provide the guidance to network designer in choosing the optimum value of ‘n’.
